Fresh Paint, Fresh Start to S.Y. 2023-2024

MGC New Life Christian Academy welcomes New Lifers to School Year 2023-2024 with a fresh coat of paint throughout the school premises as five days of face-to-face classes begin on August 7 for Junior to Senior High School and August 8 for Grades 3 to 6.

Meanwhile, pupils from the Early Years until Grade 2 will come to school in small groups from August 8 to 10.  All students are expected to be in school by Friday, August 11.

With an additional day in the school week, the makeover aims to help New Lifers kick-start the year with a refreshed mindset, ready to once again strive for character and excellence.

Previously, a four-day face-to-face and one-day online classes modality was enforced as part of prevention efforts against the spread of COVID-19 within the school.  However, with the recent decline in COVID-19 cases, MGCNLCA is reinstating the five-day in-person school week modality, giving New Lifers another day to engage with each other face-to-face. This is in full compliance with the Department of Education (DepEd) Order 34, s. 2022 requiring all schools to have fully transitioned to five-day face-to-face classes by November 2, 2022.

During the Parents’ Orientation held last July, newly-appointed School Directress Helen Villanueva remarked that the school is now going back to how it was before the pandemic.

As things are going back to “normal,” students and teachers alike are looking forward to how things will unfold this school year.

Sophia Sy of Grade 8 Berea remarked, "I'm really excited for the new school year, because of the many new possibilities and opportunities to come. New year, new me."

"Well, I'm excited to see my co-teachers and friends because I missed them. I approach the day with a prayerful hope that my students today will encounter God in a very special way," said Ms. Jannelyn Hilario, Grade 4 and Grade 5 Bible Teacher.
