Pesengco Elected SG President for S.Y. 2025-2026
After days of spirited campaigning, Sydney Paige Pesengco was elected as next school year’s Student Government (SG) President. Running unopposed, Pesengco, the current Internal Vice President (IVP), will succeed Elijah Samuel Tongco and lead the student body for S.Y. 2025-2026.
Alongside Pesengco, Carissa Maegan Chiong secured the position of External Vice President, while Sophia Jadrine Sy emerged victorious as the incoming IVP against Madison Jade Yu. Kyle Maverick Chua clinched the role of Secretary for the upcoming school year against Abbie Gail Ang and Gabrielle Chua Cham.
Meanwhile, Hans Lewis Kho will be next year’s Public Relations Officer, while Jason Bryan Gacias and Kylie Gabriella Pesengco will serve as the next Treasurer and Auditor, respectively. Annalia Eve Hui bagged the position of Business Manager, with Brielle Dominique Ong as Assistant Business Manager.
The newly elected level representatives are as follows: Samantha Jo Ang, Caitlin Summer Chua, Lucas Andrew Chung, and Alyssa Grace Ng for Nazareth; Benno Julian Ang, Joshua Samuel Chiu, Sophie Alexa Hernandez, and Ashtyn Taylor Lim for Berea; Nigel Timothy Ang, Sophia Elyse Liao, Mikaela Beatrice Mancilla, and Thomas John Pesengco for Damascus; Sean Arthur Tsai for Patmos; and Rafael Joaquin Hilario and Mariel Tiffany Sih for Olive.
Grades 6 to 12 students gathered at the auditorium and lecture hall for the Miting de Avance last March 20. The following day, votes were cast at the sixth-floor computer lab and the fifth-floor biology lab via Google Forms. The voter turnout for this year’s elections was 78.58%, with 466 out of 593 students voting for the next roster of SG officers.
