College Application Season is Back: Batch Zion Visits CSB Campus

Batch Zion got a sneak peek into the Benildean life as they toured two of its campuses last September 13 before applications for admissions officially open.

With college application season coming in quickly, the school’s Guidance Center organized a batch-wide campus tour to the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (CSB) for the aspiring Benildeans of Batch 20.

Led by campus representatives, the New Lifers walked around the halls of both the 14-floor Taft campus and its latest vertical campus, the Atrium, exploring the workplace and witnessing in-campus Benildans live in action.

From 1:30 to 4:00 pm, Batch Zion toured several top facilities of CSB, including the general 200-seater learning cinema, the black box, and the multimedia film’s mini green room.  Here, the students personally sampled Benilde’s learning-centered facilities aimed to harvest creativity with its first-class amenities and conducive working environments.

The New Lifers also toured CSB’s newest eco-friendly building, the Atrium.  At 90% completion, the building houses the CSB School of Management and Information Technology and the School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management.

"Being able to see the facilities of [programs] that are pretty tech-reliant, such as the photography, design, and animation ones was pretty cool and made us realize that, unlike other schools, the experience that CSB offers may be closer to what we'll have to work with in the future," remarked Zion student Nathan Go.

The Benilde tour also introduced the students to its notable program that enables Benildeans to borrow any needed equipment, apparatus, or gadget to equip financially struggling students with these learning necessities free of charge. Moreover, the institution cordially invited all interested New Lifers to the Benilde Preview program, a series of weekly webinar discussions previewing its undergraduate programs.

Multimedia arts hobbyist Timothy Tan commented, “Having a passion for multimedia arts, I found that Benilde is a place for artists to flourish as the school focuses on practical learning while providing the necessary multimedia equipment for students. Visiting Benilde opened my eyes to the opportunities available and the amazing facilities it offers to its students.”

Meanwhile, the students’ interest and appreciation for the arts were also piqued as they admired exhibitions and creations displayed throughout the arts-centered college.
