UPY Pupils Elect New Representatives in Second Primary SC Elections

After days of intense campaigning, the Upper Primary Year (UPY) pupils finally chose their student representatives in the second Primary Student Council (SC) Elections held within their respective classrooms last September 18.

Two representatives per batch were chosen from Grades 4 to 6: one from District A for classes A and B of the batch; and the other from District B for classes C and D of the batch.

Winners from Gethsemane for Districts A and B are Yul Kwon and Kamille Natalie W. Yu, respectively. Meanwhile, Galilee students elected Alyssa Grace C. Ng to represent District A and Sasha Chloe K. Go for District B. For class Jordan, Raiden Kenzo E. Cabilangan and Benno Julian S. Ang will be the level representatives for District A and District B, respectively.

The other class representatives are Ariana Isabelle S. Co and Parker Ramsey L. Teo for Gethsemane;  Caitlin Summer G. Chua and  Pearce Jerusalem L. Tan for Galilee; and  Joshua Samuel T. Chiu and Natasha L. Ortiga for Jordan.

All candidates for the primary SC elections were required to campaign and make speeches last September 15. Just like the high school student elections, the UPY students were allowed to put up posters for their campaign along the school hallways of their respective floors.

UPY SC Adviser Ms. Hannah Repotente expressed her delight at the outcome of the elections.  “We truly praise God for the recent Student Council elections. Moving forward, we pray that our student leaders will always carry the Shepherd’s S.T.A.F.F. - to be servant-hearted, teachable, available, faithful, and filled with the Spirit as they serve our school community,” said Repotente.
