Primary Years Student Council Welcomes New Set of Leaders

After weeks of enthusiastic campaigning, the Grades 3 to 6 students finally voted for their class and level representatives in the Student Council (SC) elections held last October 1 and October 15, respectively.

The elected level representatives for this school year were Liam Marcus Chu for Grade 3, Ella Janeen Ke for Grade 4, Nathan Sebastian Liong for Grade 5, and Alyssa Grace Ng for Grade 6.

The elected class representatives included Rosh Calah Tacsay, Adam Oliver Ang, and Avery Isabelle Yap for Jericho; Danry Seth Romualdez, Antonio Lucas So, and Harper Mackenzie Uy for Gethsemane; Lance Thierry Go, Kamille Natalie Yu, and Caitlin Madison Co for Galilee; and Ember Prinze Wong, Samantha Jo Ang, and Lucas Andrew Chung for Jordan.

The SC was previously exclusive to the Grades 4 to 6 students but was opened to the Grade 3 learners this year.

“Even though they're young, we believe that age is not something that can hinder them, but it's more of just giving them that chance to take up leadership roles, not for themselves, but to serve others as God wants them to,” said SC Adviser Hannah Pearl Repotente.

A class representative was elected per class from Grades 3 to 6. One class representative per batch was then elected to be the level representative after another round of batch-wide ballot voting.

The SC is a platform for Primary Years students to represent and serve the student body by amplifying the voices of those around them, empowering young student leaders to take ownership of projects that support the community.
