New Lifers Secure Qualification for the 2024 PSYSC Science Olympiad National Finals

MGC New Life Christian Academy’s (MGCNLCA) Science Varsity secured a spot in the finals as it earned multiple 2nd runner-up awards during the 17th Philippine Society of Youth Science Clubs, Inc. (PSYSC) Science Olympiad (PSO) held at the Philippine Science High School last September 28.

The team competition was divided into three brackets, where groups were classified according to their grade levels. MGCNLCA sent three teams of three students each, with one team competing per bracket.

The Olympiad offered a challenging two-round competition where each participating team submitted a written output.  All three teams secured 3rd place finishes and earned a place among the Top 20 Finalists in the 2024 PSYSC Science Olympiad National Finals, where they will be competing for the championship title on October 19, 2024.

The team for Bracket One consisted of Jordan students Liam Cedric Chao and Evan Michael Gaw, and Galilee’s Lance Thierry Go.
