Si Hesus ang Puso ng Pasko: MGCNLCA Christmas 2024

Last Christmas season marked the busiest and most festive time of the year for the MGC New Life Christian Academy (MGCNLCA) community, featuring the annual Christmas Fair on December 19 to 20, 2024, and the in-campus and off-campus outreach programs on December 20 to 21, 2024.

With the theme “Gingerbread Village,” the Student Government-held Christmas Fair was not only a celebration of the season for New Lifers but also an opportunity to help the community through the school’s in-campus outreach program. Held in MGCNLCA’s gymnasium, the fair featured a variety of food, game, and novelty booths like this year’s Zion Business Enterprise Simulation projects, as well as teacher- and student-run booths aimed at making extra cash and showcasing their skills.

The second day of the fair continued with game booths participating in the in-campus outreach. The off-campus outreach program took place simultaneously in various locations around Metro Manila and its neighboring provinces such as Kenneth, Pasig City; Cainta, Rizal; Baras, Rizal; La Loma, Quezon City; Tatalon, Quezon City; and Talisay, Batangas.

The outreach programs featured a singspiration, an inspiring message, fun-filled games, a gospel presentation, and distribution of snacks, all aimed at sharing the message that “Jesus is the Heart of Christmas” (“Si Hesus ang Puso ng Pasko”) and bringing the joy and hope of the season to the communities. The in-campus outreach program also included a visit to the fair at the gym, the inflatables, and game booths. For both the in-house and off-campus outreach activities, the program concluded with teachers and staff distributing a bucket of food and grocery items and a backpack to each child. A total of   3,000 families were reached, each represented by a child who received a gift. The off-campus outreach program concluded with the last outreach team visiting Talisay, Batangas on December 21, 2024.

Last December marked the return of the in-campus outreach, with it being the first time it was held since the pandemic. It also marked the final year of partnerships with Christian Living Church Kenneth Pasig, God is Able Baptist Church, Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church in Tatalon, Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church of Marikina Pinugay Mission, Philadelphia Christ-centered Fellowship, and Puntahan Ministry in Cainta. MGCNLCA follows a practice of rotating partner churches every three years to expand its outreach efforts.
